Steve's mission in his speaking and mentoring is to help others discover their true identity through a relationship with God and the Bible, and allowing that relationship to make a difference in their lives and the lives of others.

To Make a Difference:
How can we truly make a difference? It starts in a place of understanding and reflection about who we are, why we are here, how we were created, and what our life’s purpose is. What ought to be our collective mission as mankind? This is a broad and wide-ranging question, with many possible answers. My father taught me to break questions or problems like this down into micro-units – small and finite spheres of thought. Here is one: each of us is created for the ultimate experience of relationship and community, most importantly with God. The relationships were have in our close circles are part of building the broad community of humanity and a global family. The discovery of one’s strengths and weaknesses and the sharpening of a God-given character (attitudes, ideas, opinions, thoughts, and actions) better our relationships and multiply their effects upon each of the participants.
Ultimately, the mission of mankind is expressed through God’s word, the Bible. Sometimes harsh in its rebuke, most often tender in its presentation, God’s word offers insight into not only the ‘why’ but also the ‘how to’ of life’s most challenging questions, experiences, and perplexities.
Philippians 4:6-7 reminds us to “be anxious for nothing, but in everything, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.” One translation uses the word ‘garrison’ in place of ‘guard’. I like the use of ‘garrison’ as it suggests a strong and fortified wall of defense, which we desperately need as we pursue making a difference in this world.
As a Christ follower, my internal bearing toward ‘True North’ is God’s word, which states that “God will keep in perfect peace those whose minds area steadfast, because they trust in him” (Isaiah 26:3).
Steve's heart is to help men find their center - a center established and rooted in relationship to God through His Son, Jesus Christ.

We are surrounded by “noise” – sounds and images bombard us from every direction. This noise includes the media, the internet, technology, co-workers, friends, family, acquaintances, leaders, management, customers, vendors, institutions, the church, people groups, culture, & government. All are vying for our attention, respect, and allegiance.
General expectations are high and the pressure is great on all of us to perform and meet or exceed the highest standards and levels of excellence.
How do we find ourselves or even find a quiet moment of reflections in the midst of so much noise? Which way do we turn? Whose voice do we listen to? Who and what provides soundness of direction, clarity, and confidence? We need a fresh and renewed sense of value, worth, direction, and presence. We need a quiet place to reflect and be restored. This is true of all of us, as humanity. This is especially true of men. I feel strongly about men and their need to re-boot and find their center in the midst of incredible pressure from the outside world. This center is a relationship with God through His Son Jesus Christ. We can’t do it alone! Proverbs 14:12 reads, “There is a way which seems right to a man and appears straight before him, but its end is the way of destruction”. But, when we trust in God, “He will make our paths straight” (Proverbs 3:6).
Steve believes that life change and success are achievable! What that looks like for you will depend on your attitude, determination, and life choices through self-reflection and reading of Scripture.

My perspective is informed by my Christian world view, but my message resonates with all kinds of people, both Christ-followers and non-Christ-follower alike. Truth is truth, and the Bible has many excellent principles that I use to guide my audience towards success.
Coaching can be one-on-one or in a group setting, and can cover a wide range of topics. I offer both personal and professional coaching and my aim is to help you understand your perspective and your motivation for success, as you define it. We’ll examine any road blocks to achieving your goals, and discuss methods and means of engaging a ‘reset’. Success is achievable and yours is dependent on your attitude, determination, and choices.
In both men's ministry and mentoring, my goal is threefold:
1. Help men who are in a life-giving relationship with God, but desire more.
2. Help men who say they know God, but who acknowledge the relationship is no longer life-giving. These are men who have grown weary through the pressures of life - the barrage of challenges, disappointments, and struggles that face all of us. These are men who acknowledge that distance has grown between themselves and God, and who wish to be reconnected with God and the vibrancy that only He can provide.
3. Help men who do not know God, but who would like to learn more about what it means to follow Jesus and truly embrace a relationship with God.
